INTRODUCTION
The goal of this site is to show how what is traditionally thought of as graphic design and illustration can actually overlap. A graphic can be a compelling and symbolic image, that communicates an idea. Illustrations do the same thing, but typically utilize drawing and painting.
Their use is the same and the imagination of the artist should not be restrained by technique. With the exception of trademarks, which are typically classic graphic design assignments, graphics and illustration serve the same purpose and can indeed overlap.
In our field, we’ve created a distinction that need not exist. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to use both of these art forms in my career and some of the results are on this web site.
This site has been designed so that you can use the zoom feature to see the work fairly large on screen. Feel free to email me your comments from the contact page.
